YEIDA Acquires 41% Land for Master Plan 2041, 20,000 Farmers Await 7% Developed Plots

YEIDA has acquired 41% of the land planned under Master Plan 2041, but nearly 20,000 farmers are still awaiting allotment of 7% developed residential plots under the authority's rehabilitation policy.

GREATER NOIDA | July 30, 2026: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has acquired around 41% of the land planned under its Master Plan 2041, but allotting 7% developed residential plots to nearly 20,000 eligible farmers remains one of its biggest challenges.

While land acquisition and direct purchases continue, thousands of affected farmers are still waiting for the developed plots promised under YEIDA's rehabilitation policy.


41% of Planned Land Acquired

Under Master Plan 2041, YEIDA has prepared a development blueprint for nearly 38,000 hectares of land out of the 75,000 hectares notified in Phase I.

So far, the authority has acquired or purchased around 15,820 hectares, including nearly 4,920 hectares through direct purchase agreements with landowners.


Only 4,500 Farmers Have Received Allotment Letters

The authority estimates that nearly 20,000 farmers are eligible to receive 7% developed residential plots in exchange for acquired land.

However:

  • Around 12,000 farmers have received reservation letters.
  • Only about 4,500 farmers have been issued final allotment letters.
  • Plot planning for many beneficiaries is still underway.

According to YEIDA, reservation letters are issued after verifying eligibility, while final allotment and possession are granted after plot development is completed.

 


Plot Planning Continues Across Villages

YEIDA said developed plots are being planned across multiple villages where land acquisition has taken place.

Under the authority's policy, farmers are generally allotted developed plots within the same village. If land is unavailable, allotments may be made in nearby areas. The authority has also approved allotments in planned sectors where necessary.


What It Means for Landowners

Farmers whose land has been acquired under YEIDA's expansion plans should continue tracking village-wise beneficiary lists and allotment updates issued by the authority.

Those who have already received reservation letters may receive allotment letters once plot planning and development are completed.

 


Why This Matters

YEIDA's Master Plan 2041 is one of the largest urban expansion initiatives in the National Capital Region. While land acquisition is progressing steadily, timely allotment of developed plots to affected farmers will be crucial for maintaining confidence in the authority's land acquisition and rehabilitation process.
