Indore Property Market Rebounds With 8.5% Rise in Registrations

Indore | August 10, 2026: Indore’s property market is showing fresh signs of recovery after a slower previous financial year, with property registrations rising 8.5% during the first four months of FY 2026-27.
The increase in transactions is being driven largely by growing demand in the city’s outer corridors and developing residential zones, while some established areas in central Indore have seen comparatively softer activity.
Property Registrations Cross 58,000
According to data from the registration department, 58,549 property documents were registered between April and July 2026.
During the same period of the previous financial year, the number stood at 53,925. This means registrations increased by 4,624 documents, reflecting a noticeable improvement in buyer activity.
The rise was seen across both residential and commercial property transactions, indicating that demand is gradually returning to the market.
Government Revenue Also Jumps
The rise in property transactions has also benefited the state government.
Revenue collected by the registration department increased by 14%, rising from ₹719.43 crore to ₹820.41 crore during the April-July period.
That represents an increase of more than ₹100 crore in just four months.
July also maintained the momentum, with 17,664 documents registered, compared with 16,841 in July 2025.
Monthly revenue during July rose from ₹218.16 crore to ₹252.47 crore.
Outer Indore Is Driving Property Demand
The biggest change in the market is coming from Indore’s expanding outer areas.
Registration activity has remained particularly strong in developing locations and colonies around the municipal boundaries.
Areas such as Kanadia, Super Corridor, Bypass, Piplyahana, Bicholi Mardana, Devguradia, Rau, Rangwasa and Hatod are contributing significantly to the increase in property transactions.
For buyers, these locations offer a combination of developing infrastructure, expanding residential projects and comparatively newer housing options.
Central Areas See Slight Slowdown
While emerging corridors are attracting more buyers, the trend is slightly different in older parts of Indore.
Property sales in established central locations have witnessed a modest decline during the period.
This suggests that buyers are increasingly exploring areas where future development and infrastructure expansion could create better long-term opportunities.
What This Means for Indore Homebuyers
The latest registration figures indicate that Indore’s property market is moving beyond the sluggish phase seen last year.
For homebuyers, the growing activity in peripheral corridors could mean more housing choices and increasing development around emerging neighbourhoods.
However, buyers should not treat rising registrations alone as a guarantee of future price appreciation. Connectivity, infrastructure, civic amenities, project quality and actual demand remain important factors before making a property decision.
Grihik Take
Indore’s latest numbers tell an interesting story: the city’s real estate growth is increasingly moving outward.
With more buyers exploring emerging corridors and government revenue from property registrations rising sharply, the outer areas could remain important growth zones for Indore’s property market.
For buyers planning their next purchase, locations such as the Super Corridor, Rau, Kanadia and Bypass belt may be worth watching as the city continues to expand.
