Hyderabad Lucky Draw for 8,000 Indiramma Towers Flats Begins
Hyderabad, August 29, 2026: The Telangana government has started lucky draws to select beneficiaries for around 8,000 LIG flats under the Indiramma Towers housing scheme across 16 assembly constituencies in Hyderabad.
The draws began on Friday in Nampally, Quthbullapur, Secunderabad and Rajendranagar and will continue until August 31, covering four constituencies each day.
525 Sq Ft Homes With Free Registration
Each selected beneficiary will receive a house of approximately 525 sq ft, along with an undivided land share of around 17–20 square yards. Registration of the allotted flat will be provided free of cost by the government.
Beneficiaries will be allowed to sell their homes after 10 years. In case of an emergency before that period, they can pledge their registration documents with a bank to obtain a loan.
600 Beneficiaries Selected for 480 Flats
For each constituency, 600 applicants will be selected through the draw for 480 flats. Officials will subsequently conduct field-level verification.
If any selected applicant is found ineligible, eligible candidates from the remaining 120 applicants will be considered for allotment.
Construction to Begin Soon
The government plans to start construction of the towers soon and complete them within one year. Depending on land availability, the Indiramma Towers can have up to 10 floors, along with lifts and other essential infrastructure.
The Telangana government has set a target of constructing one lakh houses in the first phase within GHMC limits.
Reservations for Different Categories
The scheme includes reservations for several categories, including 14% for SCs, 5% for STs, 16% for BCs and 5% for persons with disabilities. Additional reservations have been provided for sanitation workers, fourth-class employees and outsourcing employees. Women will receive 30% reservation.
