Authorities have demolished an illegally developed residential colony in Pipliya Rao village and reclaimed nearly two acres of government land valued at around ₹30 crore.
Officials say the land was being illegally converted into residential and commercial plots, putting unsuspecting buyers at risk of financial loss.
Illegal colony demolished on government land
The anti-encroachment operation was carried out jointly by the Revenue Department, Police and the Municipal Administration.
According to officials, the encroachers had allegedly occupied government land at Survey Number 82 in Pipliya Rao village and started developing an unauthorized colony by marking residential and commercial plots for sale.
During the drive, authorities demolished the entire plotting layout and cleared the encroached land.
Industrial unit also removed
Apart from the illegal plotting activity, officials found that a flour processing plant was also operating on the encroached government land.
The administration dismantled the industrial setup as part of the demolition drive and restored possession of the land to the government.
