Missed YEIDA's Last Plot Scheme? Navratri May Bring You Another Chance to Own a Plot
GREATER NOIDA | August 5, 2026: If you couldn't secure a plot in YEIDA's previous residential scheme, another opportunity may be just around the corner. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is preparing to launch two new residential plot schemes during Navratri, including one exclusively for the economically weaker and labour class and another for the general public.
However, this time the authority is planning to introduce a major eligibility change that could prevent many existing allottees from applying again.
Two residential plot schemes likely during Navratri
According to YEIDA officials, two separate housing plot schemes are being planned:
- A 40 sq. metre plot scheme for the labour and economically weaker section.
- A general residential plot scheme offering larger plots ranging from 162 sq. metres to 300 sq. metres.
The authority is currently finalising the scheme details before initiating the mandatory RERA registration process.
Existing allottees may not be allowed to apply
In a significant policy change, YEIDA is planning to restrict applicants who have already received plot allotments in previous schemes launched by:
- Noida Authority
- Greater Noida Authority
- YEIDA
Officials said applicant details will be verified against allotment records obtained from all three authorities before applications are accepted.
The move aims to ensure that more first-time homebuyers and genuine applicants get an opportunity to own residential plots.
Plot scheme for labour class
YEIDA is also working on a long-awaited affordable plot scheme for labourers and economically weaker families.
The proposed scheme is expected to be launched in Sector 5A, where the authority has already identified land for development.
While the final number of plots is yet to be announced, the YEIDA Board has already approved around 4,000 residential plots for future allotment.
Officials are also considering introducing an income eligibility criterion for applicants under the affordable category.
Huge demand expected again
YEIDA's previous residential plot scheme, which offered 973 plots, attracted more than one lakh applications, reflecting the strong demand for residential land near the upcoming Noida International Airport and Yamuna Expressway region.
The upcoming schemes are also expected to witness heavy participation from homebuyers and investors.
Why this matters for homebuyers
The proposed restriction on repeat allottees could significantly improve the chances of first-time buyers who have never received a plot from Noida, Greater Noida or YEIDA.
At the same time, buyers who already own plots through previous authority schemes should carefully check the final eligibility conditions before preparing to apply.

YEIDA is expected to finalise the scheme guidelines, complete the RERA registration process and officially announce the launch during the Navratri festival.
