Dholera Gets New Hospitality Push as GAP Group Starts Work on 200-Room Hyatt Place

Dholera, Gujarat | October 21, 2026: GAP Group has started construction of a 200-room Hyatt Place hotel at the Akhilam Integrated Township in Dholera, Gujarat, adding a major hospitality project to the region’s growing commercial and industrial ecosystem. The development comes as Dholera continues to attract investments linked to manufacturing, business and urban infrastructure.
The hotel is being developed in partnership with Hyatt and will include 20 suites, along with around 2.6 lakh sq ft of built-up area. The project is planned as a 65-metre-high structure with two basement levels.
200-Room Hotel to Strengthen Dholera’s Business Infrastructure
The proposed Hyatt Place will include a restaurant, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, swimming pool, gym, cafe and lounge. Its banquet and pre-function spaces, along with an outdoor lawn, are planned to accommodate around 500 people.
The facilities are expected to cater to business travellers, investors, corporate events and visitors associated with Dholera’s expanding industrial activity.
GAP Group Plans ₹2,500 Crore Investment by 2030
GAP Group has said it plans to invest around ₹2,500 crore in Dholera by 2030 across residential, commercial and industrial developments.
The company has been involved in the development of the region since 2014. According to the group, the next phase of Dholera’s growth will require not only industrial and commercial projects but also supporting infrastructure for people living and working in the area.
Dholera’s Industrial Growth Is Driving Demand for Hospitality
Dholera is being developed as a planned industrial city under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor initiative. With industrial projects progressing in the region, demand for hotels, business facilities and other supporting services is also expected to increase.
GAP Group Chairman Gopal Goswami said the growing number of industrial projects is creating new business opportunities and increasing the need for hospitality facilities for investors, business travellers and other visitors.
Project Adds an International Hotel Brand to Akhilam Township
The Hyatt Place project will bring an internationally recognised hotel brand into Dholera’s developing urban landscape. The hotel’s mix of accommodation, meeting and event facilities could also support the region’s potential as a destination for corporate and industrial activity.
The project’s design was finalised ahead of the construction launch, with Hyatt representatives participating in the development process.
Connectivity Could Support Dholera’s Real Estate Growth
Dholera’s development is being supported by major infrastructure projects, including the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and the proposed international airport.
Improved connectivity, combined with industrial investment, could increase demand for commercial spaces, housing, hospitality and other real estate assets in the region. For property developers and investors, the expansion of supporting infrastructure is an important factor in assessing Dholera’s long-term development potential.
What Happens Next
Construction of the Hyatt Place hotel has now begun, but GAP Group has not disclosed the project’s investment cost or a targeted completion date.
The progress of the hotel, along with the group’s planned ₹2,500 crore investment programme, will be closely watched as Dholera moves towards becoming a larger industrial and commercial centre.
