511 Families in Mathura Set to Get ₹40,000 First Installment Under Rural Housing Scheme
MATHURA, August 24, 2026: A total of 511 families in Mathura have been selected under the Uttar Pradesh government's Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Gramin. The beneficiaries are now awaiting the first installment of ₹40,000, which will help them begin construction of permanent houses.
511 Families Cleared After Verification
A total of 589 applications were received under the scheme this financial year, particularly from eligible families belonging to categories including nomadic communities, Sapera communities and destitute women.
After verification at the block level, 511 applicants were found eligible. Their details have been compiled at the district level and sent to the state government for release of funds.
The District Rural Development Agency has also sought the required funds from the state headquarters.
How Much Assistance Will Beneficiaries Get
Eligible families will receive a total financial assistance of ₹1.20 lakh for constructing a permanent house in rural areas.
The amount will be released in three installments, linked to the progress of construction.
The first installment will be ₹40,000. The remaining amount will be released in subsequent installments as construction progresses.
The assistance will be transferred directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts.
Chhata Has the Highest Number of Beneficiaries
The 511 selected beneficiaries are spread across all 10 development blocks of Mathura.

When Will the ₹40,000 First Installment Arrive
