LUCKNOW | July 24, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has approved 15 new real estate projects across eight districts of the state, paving the way for an estimated ₹4,826.31 crore in investment and the development of 5,303 residential and commercial units.

The approvals were granted during the authority's 206th meeting, chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, as part of ongoing efforts to promote transparent and timely development in the state's real estate sector.

Lucknow Gets Four New Residential Projects

Among all districts, Lucknow received approval for four residential projects with a combined estimated investment of ₹562.96 crore.

The projects will develop 1,276 units, including:

  • Apartments
  • Villas
  • Plotted developments

The new projects are expected to strengthen the city's residential supply amid continued housing demand.

Noida Leads in Investment

Gautam Buddh Nagar accounted for the largest share of investment.

UP RERA approved three projects in the district with an estimated investment of ₹3,275.70 crore.

These include:

  • One residential project
  • One commercial project
  • One mixed-use project

Together, they are expected to create 2,565 residential and commercial units, making the district the biggest beneficiary of the latest approvals.

Other Districts Also Receive New Projects

Apart from Lucknow and Gautam Buddh Nagar, approvals were granted for projects in:

  • Ghaziabad – Three projects with an estimated investment of ₹557.40 crore, expected to develop 636 units.
  • Varanasi – One residential project worth ₹275.84 crore with 236 units.

Investment Expected to Support Employment

According to UP RERA, the approved projects are expected to generate employment during the construction phase while increasing demand across sectors such as:

  • Construction materials
  • Engineering services
  • Transport and logistics
  • Allied industries

The authority believes these investments will contribute to broader economic activity across the state.

UP RERA Focuses on Timely Project Approvals

UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said the authority continues to strengthen a transparent and accountable regulatory framework for the real estate sector.

He stated that timely project approvals and effective monitoring help create a more reliable environment for both developers and homebuyers.

What This Means for Homebuyers

The approval of new RERA-registered projects gives homebuyers more verified housing options across Uttar Pradesh. Since registered projects must comply with RERA regulations, buyers can access important project details, monitor construction progress and seek regulatory remedies in case of delays or other issues.

Why This Matters

Fresh project approvals indicate continued investment in Uttar Pradesh's real estate sector despite changing market conditions. The addition of more than 5,300 residential and commercial units is expected to improve housing supply, support infrastructure growth and create employment during construction. For buyers, the expansion of RERA-registered projects also strengthens transparency and regulatory oversight in the property market.
