Amroha, August 27, 2026: A major infrastructure push is taking shape in Amroha as the proposed Amroha-Haridwar Ganga Expressway moves closer to land acquisition across 52 villages. The 116.85-km proposed route could reshape connectivity, boost local investment and create new opportunities for businesses and jobs.

44 Km of Expressway to Pass Through Amroha

The proposed expressway will start from the Mangraula T-point, connect with the Prayagraj-Meerut Ganga Expressway and eventually extend towards Haridwar.

Around 44 km of the proposed route will pass through Amroha, covering villages across the Hasanpur and Dhanaura tehsils.


More Than 950 Farmers Could Be Affected

The administration is currently checking land records and matching gata numbers to avoid complications during acquisition.

More than 950 farmers could see their agricultural land acquired for the project. After notification by UPEIDA, transactions involving land falling within the proposed corridor are expected to be restricted, followed by the acquisition process.


Land to Be Purchased Through Agreement

A government-level committee will be formed to negotiate with affected farmers. The administration plans to purchase the required land through mutual agreement and registered sale deeds.

This process could determine how quickly construction and related development move forward.

 


Industries, Warehouses and Logistics Hubs Could Come Up

The expressway could create a new economic corridor around the connected villages. Industries, warehouses, hotels, petrol pumps and logistics hubs are expected to benefit from improved road connectivity.

Better access to Delhi, Meerut and Prayagraj could also encourage new investment and generate employment opportunities in the region.


Property Market Could Also Feel the Impact

The administration has already prepared a proposal to revise circle rates across Amroha, including areas falling within the expressway corridor. The move could become important for landowners and future property transactions as infrastructure development progresses.
