Chandigarh, August 25, 2026: Property tax has emerged as the biggest source of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation's own revenue, bringing in ₹64.8 crore between April and June 2026. Overall, the civic body collected ₹134.47 crore from its own sources during the first quarter of the financial year.
With an additional ₹300 crore grant from the UT administration, the corporation's total receipts during the April-June period reached ₹434.47 crore.
