Indore Airport Aerocity to Bring New Property Development Opportunities With ₹600 Crore Investment
Indore, September 2, 2026: Indore is set for a major real estate and infrastructure push with the Madhya Pradesh government planning an Aerocity near Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, with the project expected to attract investment of around ₹500–600 crore.
The proposed development will come up on approximately 11 hectares of land, just around 500 metres from the airport. The project is expected to combine commercial, hospitality and residential activities while improving connectivity to the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor.
Airport Proximity Could Drive New Property Development
The proposed Aerocity is planned as a modern commercial hub close to the airport, bringing business, hospitality and other activities into one integrated development.
According to the Indore Development Authority (IDA), the project will permit residential developments, hotels and office activities. Its location near the airport could increase demand for commercial and hospitality properties as business activity around the site expands.
For property investors, the development could also increase the attractiveness of surrounding areas as supporting infrastructure and commercial activity grow.
₹500–600 Crore Investment Expected in the First Phase
IDA Chief Executive Officer Parikshit Jhade said the Aerocity is initially expected to attract ₹500–600 crore of investment.
The proposed investment could create new commercial spaces and supporting businesses around the airport, potentially generating demand for offices, hotels, retail establishments and residential properties.
The project is also expected to strengthen the connection between the airport and the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor, improving access to one of the region's important industrial and economic zones.
Residential and Commercial Growth Could Get a Push
Unlike a development focused only on airport-related facilities, the proposed Aerocity will allow a mix of property uses. Residential projects alongside offices and hotels could create a more integrated urban destination.

Theme Park to Add Leisure and Retail Potential
The development plan also includes a 3.83-hectare theme-based amusement park near Meghdoot Garden. The blueprint for the project is currently being prepared.
The proposed leisure destination could complement the Aerocity's commercial and hospitality ecosystem by attracting visitors and supporting retail, food and entertainment businesses in the surrounding area.
