Bhagalpur, Bihar | September 4, 2026: The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is gaining attention among households in Bihar as the government pushes rooftop solar adoption through subsidies, maintenance support and easier access to bank loans.

A one-day solar fair was organised in Sanhoula, Bhagalpur, where electricity department officials and solar agencies explained the scheme to local residents. Dozens of consumers reportedly registered at the event to explore rooftop solar installations.
