YEIDA Extends Lease Deed Deadline for 4,500 Plot Allottees, Approves Infrastructure Corpus Fund

Greater Noida, June 10, 2026: In a major relief for residential plot allottees, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a policy allowing nearly 4,500 allottees additional time to complete their lease deeds. The authority has extended the deadline until December 2026, helping many plot owners avoid cancellation of their allotments.

The decision was taken during a recent YEIDA board meeting, where several measures related to urban development, infrastructure management and allottee relief were approved.

Relief for Residential Plot Allottees

According to YEIDA officials, thousands of allottees who had received checklists for lease deed execution failed to complete the process within the prescribed timeline. Under existing rules, prolonged delays could have resulted in cancellation of plot allotments.

To address the issue, the authority has introduced a special policy allowing affected allottees to complete their lease deeds by December 2026. However, applicants will be required to pay the applicable delay charges based on the duration of the delay.

The move is expected to benefit a large number of plot owners who risked losing their allotments due to procedural delays.

Institutional Plot Holders Also Get Relief

The board has also approved a time extension for institutional plot allottees located in sectors 16, 17, 18, 20 and 22D of the YEIDA region.

Allottees who have already executed lease deeds and taken possession will receive additional time for construction activities without any extra extension charges, providing further relief to institutional investors and developers.

YEIDA Approves Infrastructure Corpus Fund

In another significant decision, the authority approved the creation of a dedicated corpus fund aimed at supporting the maintenance and expansion of infrastructure facilities across the YEIDA region.

As development accelerates around the Yamuna Expressway, YEIDA expects rising expenditure on roads, sewer networks, water supply systems, power infrastructure and other civic facilities.

To ensure sustainable funding, revenue generated from lease rent, transfer fees, restoration charges, floor area ratio (FAR) charges, extension fees and other sources will be deposited into a separate account.

The interest earned from the fund will be used for future infrastructure maintenance and urban development works.

Focus on Long-Term Urban Development

Officials believe the corpus fund will help reduce financial pressure on the authority while ensuring that essential public infrastructure continues to be upgraded as the region expands.

The YEIDA area has witnessed growing investment interest due to major developments including the Noida International Airport, industrial projects and residential townships. As population and commercial activity increase, infrastructure maintenance is expected to become a key priority for the authority.

Transport Department Receives Extension

The board also approved a time extension for the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department to deposit the allotment amount for a 2,000-square-metre plot in Sector 33, earmarked for a sub-divisional office.

The department had sought additional time after budgetary allocations for the project were delayed.

Final Word

YEIDA's latest decisions are expected to provide immediate relief to thousands of plot allottees while also strengthening the authority's long-term infrastructure planning. The lease deed extension offers a fresh opportunity for affected allottees, while the newly approved corpus fund could play a crucial role in maintaining urban infrastructure as the Yamuna Expressway region continues to grow.
