Major US Real Estate Firms Expand Retail, Investment and Affordable Housing Teams

United States | September 26, 2026: Several US real estate firms are strengthening their teams across retail, investment, insurance, affordable housing and commercial property services, with new senior hires and leadership appointments spanning markets including Florida, New York, Washington, D.C., Phoenix and New York State.

The latest moves show firms adding experienced professionals in areas closely linked to retail leasing, investment transactions, risk management and housing development.

Colliers Expands Retail Team Across Florida

Colliers has hired Blake Hunter and Robby Holihan as executive vice presidents in its Orlando office as the company expands its retail services across Central and West Florida.

The two executives previously worked at SRS Real Estate Partners and bring more than 25 years of combined experience.

They will work with Yessenia Marcof, who is moving from client services into brokerage production. The expanded team will provide tenant and landlord representation, agency leasing, site selection, development advisory and strategic consulting.

Franklin Street Adds New York Insurance Veteran

Franklin Street has appointed Kevin Madden as managing director in its New York office.

Madden brings around 30 years of experience across commercial real estate and insurance and previously served as managing director of Aon's real estate practice.

His role will focus on expanding Franklin Street's insurance brokerage business in New York and supporting its growth nationally.

Mohr Partners Strengthens D.C. Leadership

Dallas-based Mohr Partners has added Andrew Genova as co-market leader and managing partner for the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Justin Barker has also joined as director for the D.C. market. They will work alongside longtime market leader Peter Berg, who will share leadership responsibilities with Genova.

The two new executives bring nearly 40 years of combined experience, according to the company.

Investment and Retail Firms Add Senior Talent

Callahan Capital Partners has appointed Mari Lehman as vice president of investments. With more than a decade of experience, including investment management work at Sterling Bay and Zeller Realty Group, Lehman will oversee acquisition transactions and asset management activities.

Meanwhile, Leah Bold has joined Odyssey Retail Advisors as vice president in Phoenix. She previously held senior roles at Taubman focused on national retailer relationships, merchandising strategies and leasing.

Bold brings more than 20 years of experience and has completed transactions covering over 1.6 million square feet.

Affordable Housing Gets New Development Leadership

The NRP Group has hired Nicholas O’Brien as vice president of affordable housing development in New York.

O’Brien will help lead the company's affordable housing development efforts across New York State, with a focus on Long Island, Westchester County, the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York.

He joins NRP from CREA and brings more than a decade of experience. His appointment comes as affordable housing development remains a major focus across several New York markets.

Pininfarina Changes US Leadership

Italian design studio Pininfarina has named Eugenia Di Girolamo general manager of Pininfarina of America.

Based across the company's New York and Miami offices, Di Girolamo will help oversee architecture and design activities across the Americas.

She succeeds Claudio Da Soller, whose tenure at the firm is concluding, and will report to Giovanni de Niederhäusern.

What These Moves Mean for US Real Estate

The appointments span several parts of the property industry rather than a single segment. Retail brokerage, investment management, insurance, affordable housing development and architecture are all adding experienced leadership.

For the property market, these personnel moves can influence how firms pursue acquisitions, leasing mandates, development opportunities and housing projects in their respective markets. The immediate impact will depend on the mandates and transactions handled by each newly appointed executive.
