China Top 100 Developers: September Sales at 242 Billion Yuan

China's top 100 developers recorded attributable sales of about 242.1 billion yuan in September, higher than July's 217.9 billion yuan, taking sales for January-September 2026 to 2.26 trillion yuan (about $337 billion), according to China Index Academy.
Rankings
Poly Developments reclaimed the top spot from China Overseas, in a reshuffle where state-backed developers lead.
Prices
Across 100 cities, the average new home price in September was 17,285 yuan per sq m, up 0.17% from August and 2.12% from a year earlier. Existing-home prices fell 0.6% on the month.
Beijing as a bright spot
Beijing recorded 4,675 new-home deals in September, up 49.6% from August, and more than 15,000 existing-home transactions.
The caution
The wider backdrop is weaker. Residential sales value for January-August was down 13.1%, and other data had shown the top 100 developers' July sales down 18.3% year on year. A seasonal September lift does not by itself mean a turnaround, and different data providers measure sales differently.
