YEIDA Cancels 7 Industrial Plot Allotments, Decision Pending on 11 More

Greater Noida, August 26, 2026: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has cancelled the allotment of seven industrial plots for non-payment of allotment dues and failure to execute lease deeds. A decision on 11 more allotments is still pending after final hearings.

Why were the plots cancelled?

Five allotments were cancelled after the allottees failed to deposit the required amount, while two plots were cancelled for not completing the lease deed process. The cancelled plots are located in Sectors 29, 32 and 33, ranging from 600 sq m to 5,000 sq m.

One 1,000 sq m plot in the Medical Device Park was also surrendered by its allottee, as the authority had not issued the required checklist.

YEIDA reviews industrial plots

YEIDA is reviewing previously allotted industrial plots to ensure that land is actually used for industrial development. The authority has so far allotted 3,189 industrial plots, but only 54 industrial units are operational and 82 have completed construction.

The authority is also asking allottees about delays in construction and starting operations. Those failing to take action despite hearings could face cancellation.

 

11 allotments still under review

YEIDA has given 27 allottees time until August 31 following their hearings. The final hearings of 11 allottees are still pending, after which the authority will decide whether their allotments should continue.
