Tata Realty Names Gaurav Jain as New MD and CEO to Lead Next Growth Phase

New Delhi, Delhi | September 5, 2026: Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd (TRIL) has appointed Gaurav Jain as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Jain will succeed Sanjay Dutt, who has led the company as MD and CEO since April 2018.

The leadership change comes as TRIL looks to strengthen its residential and commercial real estate portfolio and expand its presence across high-potential markets in India.

Gaurav Jain Brings Over 23 Years of Real Estate Experience

Jain has more than 23 years of experience in the real estate sector and has worked with major developers including Birla Estates, Godrej Properties, Mahindra Lifespace Developers and Unitech Group.

His experience spans both residential and commercial real estate, giving him exposure to project development, business expansion and portfolio growth across different market segments.

New Leadership Comes as Tata Realty Targets Further Growth

As MD and CEO, Jain will be responsible for leading TRIL through its next phase of expansion. The company said his priorities will include strengthening its capabilities, improving its portfolio and pursuing opportunities in high-potential markets.

For India's property sector, leadership changes at large developers can influence the pace of new project launches, geographic expansion and investment in upcoming residential and commercial developments.

Focus on Sustainable and Future-Ready Urban Development

TRIL said Jain will also work towards advancing the company's focus on high-quality, sustainable and future-ready urban development.

This could support greater emphasis on modern residential communities, commercial developments and infrastructure-linked projects as cities across India continue to expand.

Tata Realty Has a Pan-India Real Estate Presence

TRIL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Private Ltd, has developed residential and commercial projects across several major Indian cities.

The company operates across multiple real estate segments, making its future project pipeline relevant to homebuyers, investors and commercial property users looking for projects from established developers.

What the Leadership Change Means for the Property Market

The appointment gives Jain the responsibility of building on TRIL's existing portfolio while identifying new growth opportunities. His experience with several major real estate companies could help the developer scale operations and strengthen its presence in competitive property markets.

For homebuyers and investors, the key factor to watch will be whether the new leadership translates this strategy into new project launches, stronger market expansion and improved execution of upcoming developments.

Tata Realty Begins a New Phase Under Gaurav Jain

With Jain taking charge from October 1, TRIL is entering a new leadership phase after more than eight years under Sanjay Dutt. The coming months will show how the company reshapes its project pipeline and growth strategy under the new leadership.
