CHANDIGARH | June 24, 2026: Haryana has launched a new automated mutation system designed to make property registration and land record updates faster, more transparent and largely paperless.
Under the new framework, property buyers will no longer need to submit a separate application for mutation after completing property registration. The process has now been integrated into the registration system itself.

According to the state government, mutation numbers will be generated automatically at the time of property registration.
Cases that do not require partition of joint ownership records may be approved within 24 hours, while more complex cases involving ownership division are expected to be resolved within 10 days.
