Nagaland Launches LabourChowk App to Connect Construction Workers With Jobs
Kohima, Nagaland | September 3, 2026: The Nagaland government has launched the Nagaland LabourChowk mobile application to modernise employment services for building and other construction workers across the state. The digital platform is designed to connect registered workers with employers while providing easier access to welfare schemes, skill development and labour-related services.

The application has been developed by the Labour Department through the Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Workers can register on the platform, search for available employment opportunities and access various labour-related services digitally. Employers, meanwhile, can use the platform to find and connect with registered construction workers.

The initiative seeks to transform the traditional labour chowk system into a more organised and digitally enabled employment platform.
