Godrej Group Plans ₹20,000 Crore Haryana Investment With 40,000 Jobs

Gurugram, August 27, 2026: Godrej Industries Group has signed an MoU with the Haryana government for a proposed investment of around ₹20,000 crore, with the expansion expected to create nearly 40,000 jobs across real estate, commercial infrastructure, finance and related businesses.
The agreement was signed on August 24 in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The investment will build on the group’s existing presence in the state, where it has already invested around ₹12,000 crore and employs nearly 9,000 people.
Godrej Properties to drive major real estate expansion
Real estate is expected to account for a significant share of the proposed investment. Godrej Properties has already invested around ₹11,000 crore in Haryana and plans to commit another ₹16,000 crore by FY28.
The developer currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra. Its upcoming developments are expected to generate more than 11,000 employment opportunities, while adding new residential supply across key Haryana markets.
For homebuyers, the expansion could mean more housing options across established and emerging property locations, particularly as demand continues to grow around Gurugram and other urban centres.
₹3,500 crore planned for Gurugram offices
Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity arm, is also planning to invest ₹3,500 crore in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram.
The company has already invested around ₹1,000 crore in Haryana. Its proposed office developments are expected to support more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The investment could further strengthen Gurugram’s position as a major commercial hub, particularly for multinational companies and global capability centres looking for premium office space.
Investment extends beyond property
The group’s Haryana expansion is not limited to residential and commercial real estate. Godrej Capital operates five branches in the state and has facilitated around ₹550 crore in bookings through its financing business.
Godrej Consumer Products also has an established distribution network comprising 42 direct distributors and more than 250 rural stockists.
The group has additionally invested in infrastructure and community initiatives in Haryana, including projects in Karnal and Kurukshetra and annual CSR spending of around ₹1 crore.
What ₹20,000 crore could mean for Haryana’s property market
The proposed investment could create a wider economic impact through new housing, office developments, construction activity, jobs and demand for supporting services.
For Haryana’s real estate market, the biggest impact is likely to come from the planned residential expansion and Grade A+ office development in Gurugram. However, individual projects will still require the necessary approvals, planning and execution before the proposed investment translates into actual development.
Grihik Takeaway: Godrej’s proposed ₹20,000 crore commitment signals continued confidence in Haryana’s real estate and commercial growth. For property buyers and investors, the expansion of residential and office projects could create new opportunities, while the expected employment generation may further support housing demand in Gurugram and other major cities.
