Mumbai | September 28, 2026: Actor Akshaye Khanna has purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill for ₹33.26 crore, adding another high-value transaction to the city’s premium residential property market. The apartment, located at 30 Little Gibbs, offers more than 2,500 sq ft of total area and comes with three parking spaces.

The transaction was registered in September 2026, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards.

Inside Akshaye Khanna’s New Mumbai Apartment

The apartment is located on Malabar Hill Road, one of Mumbai’s established premium residential addresses. It has a carpet area of 2,341.39 sq ft and an additional balcony area of 175.45 sq ft, taking the combined area to approximately 2,516.84 sq ft.

The property also includes three parking spaces, an important feature in a high-density city such as Mumbai.

Property Deal Valued at ₹33.26 Crore

Khanna purchased the apartment for ₹33.26 crore. Based on the carpet area, the transaction works out to approximately ₹1.42 lakh per sq ft.

The deal also involved stamp duty of around ₹1.99 crore and registration charges of ₹30,000, according to Square Yards.

Why Malabar Hill Remains a Premium Address

Malabar Hill is among Mumbai’s established luxury residential neighbourhoods. Its location and limited availability of premium residential properties make it a prominent market for high-value home purchases.

The transaction highlights the scale of spending in Mumbai’s luxury housing segment, where buyers are willing to pay substantial amounts for homes in sought-after locations.

What the Deal Means for Mumbai’s Luxury Housing Market

High-value purchases by prominent individuals often draw attention to Mumbai’s premium residential market. However, a single transaction does not establish a broader price trend or indicate that property values across the neighbourhood are rising.

For buyers and investors assessing luxury properties, the deal offers a reference point for the price range of a large apartment in Malabar Hill. Actual valuations can vary depending on the building, floor, amenities, condition and transaction terms.
